| i think that sms date have changed their name to just message- previously about 2 weeks back (i think) i recieved a message from sms date and jus ignored it. Recently i discovered this site which confirmed my theories! Ne way the message is identical and i have now recieved this message 2 times in two days and its startin to bug me! Does ne one know if somethin is goin to be done about this!

I've just got the same message to my phone and am so glad a quick google search found this site. The worrying thing is that I'm on an online dating site who have my number but state that it is never passed on to a third party. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else out there is in the same situation.

Got exactly the same message as everyone else (except with a different number - 09050001578). The freaky thing was I'd been arranging a date with someone via text the day before. So foolishly I assumed it was them and called the number (I'd done a google search, and unfortunately didn't find this excellent site, so figured it must be a valid text).
They asked for my mobile number, gender, and the number of who I think was texting me. It then said they would send me a text if I had got the right person, and offered to send me 'ringtone of the week' - which I declined. Needless to say I never received a text!
But like everyone else, I just can't understand how they got my number, and the timing seemed to be a pretty big coincidence...

Hiya! I got the same message about lunchtime yesterday (27th) also sent the night before. Must be a crock, as the PO Box number was exactly the same and you would have thought if it were true, everyone would have a unique ID. Worried about the 0905 code anyway, you could be phoning Mauritius or somewhere.

Just a thought as this txt msg was sent @ 1.30pm today 27/02/2004 and the msg reads 27-Feb-2004 @ 18:33:45 makes me think this could be overseas??? Timezones relate to India if I'm correct??? Anyone elaborate on this, not unless sent by computer with the time changed which can be achieved.

Ok first instance I've never registered for this such an agency or know anyone who would advertise the fact that I'm in need of dating, as I'm married and have no need of another woman lol.
Secondly I have been bitten once and twice shy on this case as I succumbed to another scam - ARP style and thought I'd won a prize.
So in all these pillocks better watch out people are on to you and once they catch you I hope the law is strong enough and put you away for a long time - that'll teach ya!!!!

Got this on the 28th at about 1pm ish - the text delivery said the 27th at 6pm!
Anyway - I'm getting pretty p. d off with these junk texts - first my e-mail now not even my phone is mine anymore!
Judging by the ten or so exact same messages reported before mine, my advice would be to steer well clear of this.
Do yourself a favour hook up the right way and not this way - or you'll just end up being 'stitched up'

I got exactly the same message as others, only the number was slightly different. I have received this message three times within a week. Last time, this morning (26/02/04). Always with wrong time, eg. time of sending on the phone shows 14.45 but it was actually received at about 9.30am.
I didn’t realise how many people received this text. I just tried the search for SMSDate on the Internet and Google came up with your website. It’s a great site that informs others about spams like these. Thanks.

I got the same message asking me to call customer reps on 08712778106. Being highly suspicious, I called and requested details of the company running the promotion and was told 'Premier Promotions'.
Reps really don't like being diverted from their speil too much. They won't send out terms and conditions and they will not divulge web site details. Apparently, all the info I needed was to be found at the premium rate number..
Premium number I was given is: 09050003524. Was told that it would cost �1.50 pm and last about 7 minutes..
