What is Grumbletext's privacy policy?

We won't give your email address, mobile number, or any other personal information to anyone else and we may only use it to get back in touch with you on an issue directly relevant to your original post, whether you made it via online form or via SMS text message.

On virtually any other website this section would be long and legal and 99.9% of you wouldn't read it, so you wouldn't know what we had buried in it.�

So, we'll keep it simple. What we mean is what we said in the first paragraph.�

If you posted in the General Consumer side of Grumbletext, in other words NOT on the SOS SMS, anti-junk texts side of Grumbletext, then we reserve the right to contact you once only on behalf of either 1) the company who you complained about, say a high street retailer or 2) one of its direct competitors. The contents of the communication would be either 1) a straight apology and/or 2) a "win-back" proposition (vetted by us).�

At no time would the company concerned know your contact details - they would have to communicate via us. We would need to be convincingly persuaded in detail that any offer being made to you which solicited you to contact the company concerned had a specific, tangible value - that the company was genuinely 'going the extra mile' to win back your favour, or its competitor, to win it in the first place.�

In the end, we know that unless we safeguard your interests to the maximum extent we are able, we won't build the reputation we need for this ludicrous venture to work.
