If you want to have a rant about the
government, your bank or any organisation that deserves a bit of
flak here's your chance. text-message your views to the site and
they'll be pasted up, along with others of a similar nature.
There's no bad language on the site - just a lot of fed up
people.
The

If you feel like grumbling about poor
service, you can now fire off a text message complaint to
Grumbletext, which will post it on its website, perhaps with
links to appropriate sites. The hope is that adverse publicity
will prompt companies to improve. Banks, supermarkets and
politicians are obvious targets. The posting process is
automated and takes about five minutes.

THE WEEK'
Don't get mad, get even. If you have a
complaint about a UK company, their products or services, you
can publish it on this well-designed site. Following the on-site
instruction, use your mobile phone to send in a text-message
complaint, which will then be placed alongside others of its
kind. When the site has enough texts on any one subject, the
maintainers create a news story based on that content, and
actively try to publicise it to the media.
'Send
your moans to new website' Webuser online edition 12 February
2003
Want to have a bit of a moan about UK
companies that have done you wrong? The new Grumbletext website
will happily take your complaints and publish them.
All you have to do is send a text message
from your mobile about the specific UK company that has let you
down and the so-called 'Grumbletexts' will be published on the
site, organised by subject and company. The site particularly
wants to hear from you if a company has been 'arrogant and
cynical, rather than merely incompetent.'
If the site collects enough texts on a
particular subject they plan to send out news releases about
that company.
When we checked out the site the congestion
charge was top of the list of grumbles, with Ikea and Allied
Carpets coming in for a bit of grief too.
To send an SMS to Grumbletext - begin your
text with the name of the company you want to grumble about,
followed by a colon. After the colon write the message and send
it to the Grumbletext number 07810 838 383. You have to pay
normal SMS costs currently, although they hope to introduce a
25p texting tariff later this year.

Guide
Found out about Grumbletext - basically it's
a site where you text (SMS) them all your moans about UK
companies that have pissed you off or, generally you think give
bad customer service, and have call centres operated by morons.
You get chance to rave and rant, everyone else gets a chance to
see them. Then, apparently, when there's enough texts on a
particular subject the guys at grumbletext create a news story
about it and try to get it published in the wider media. So the
company in question are shamed enough to reply or at least give
and answer as to why they're so rubbish. Interesting concept.
Let's see if we can make the London Underground a Grumbletext
success.
